Professional Development for Teachers | Organizing Skills for School & Life
Practical workshops that help educators, support staff, students, and families learn organizing skills and strategies that stick.
The ability to organize isn’t something students either “have” or “don’t have.” It’s a skill—and like any skill, it can be taught, practiced, and adapted for different brains.
I was THAT student.
I know what it feels like to lose the assignment you’ve just finished, forget the form that needed to be signed, and wonder why everyone else seemed to have it all together AND know where they put it!
Today, as a Professional Organizer, theatre educator, speaker, and late-diagnosed adult with ADHD, I help schools replace frustration and shame with practical strategies that students—and the adults supporting them—can actually use.

Passionate about lifelong learning, I am a proud member of the Institute for Challenging Disorganization and have earned Certificates in Chronic Disorganization, ADHD, and Students & Learning.

Expect Something Different
My background in theatre means no one will spend the day watching someone read PowerPoint slides.
These workshops are interactive, practical, and full of stories that help ideas stick. We laugh, we reflect, we experiment with real strategies, and yes… every now and then, a show tune sneaks in.
Because people remember experiences long after they’ve forgotten bullet points.
Why This Matters
Imagine if:
- students learned organizing is a skill—not a personality trait
- different brains need different systems
- teachers and students spent less time hunting for missing assignments
- parents had practical tools
Imagine if teachers spent less time chasing missing assignments and more time teaching.
Imagine if parents had practical tools that reduced conflict instead of creating more reminders.
That’s what these workshops are designed to do.
Every school is different.
Workshops can be customized for:
- PD Days
- Teacher conventions
- Parent education evenings
- Support staff adn administration
- Student leadership days
- Grade-specific sessions
- School-wide presentations
- Conferences
- Professional learning communities

What Makes These Workshops Different?
Most study skills sessions teach students what they should do.
These workshops explore how different people organize, why some strategies work better than others, and how to build systems that fit different brains—not just different classrooms. The emphasis on finding individual organizing styles and moving away from one-size-fits-all solutions is a consistent theme throughout your workshop material.
There are no cookie-cutter solutions. No one-size-fits-all binders. No expectation that every student learns—or organizes—in the same way. Because students don’t all learn the same way — so why should they all organize the same way?
Looking for a workshop your staff, students, or families will still be talking about weeks later?

People rarely remember every slide from a presentation. They do remember how a speaker made them feel—and the one idea that changed the way they see the world. That’s what I hope every audience takes home with them.
